How to use the two files

The layout guide shows the numbered zones and their pixel sizes, so you can match them in your own signage software. The clean background has the same panels with no text, so it is the one to use behind your content. For a single-zone slide, design on the clean background in any image editor and export a JPEG or PNG at the full screen size (1920 x 1080 or 1080 x 1920).

Tips for hotel and hospitality screens

Viewing distance.
Typically, guests pass a lobby screen at walking pace and read it from 6 to 20 feet. Lead with the welcome and today's events, and keep each line short.
What goes where.
Use the events zone for the day's schedule, the feature zone for dining, spa and local guide video, and the ticker for restaurant hours and notices.
Tone.
Hospitality screens set the mood of the building. Use generous spacing, two typefaces at most and photos that match your property.
Update rhythm.
Events change daily and seasonal content changes monthly. Put the changing items in their own zones so you only replace what moved.
